Marvel Rivals' August 13 patch is live, and it brings the Rivals' Summer Finale '26 โ the second wave of the summer festival that started back in June. Three limited-time events are now active at Hellfire Bay Beach, running through September 24, with free costumes, Units, and cosmetic rewards up for grabs. No server downtime was required โ just patch and play.

Krakoan Reels Vol.2 โ Free Costumes Through Fishing
The fishing event returns with a fresh haul. Head to the pier at Hellfire Bay Beach and cast your line to reel in daily catches. This time, the reward pool includes three full costumes:
- Black Cat โ Coastal Cat (Chroma: Pearl Paws & Golden Claws)
- Winter Soldier โ Summer Soldier (Chroma: Chill Current)
- Star-Lord โ Star Swimmer (Chroma: Stellar Splash)
There's also a "mischievous, special little creature" swimming among the new catches โ collecting it completes a special collection for bonus rewards. Exchange your catches at the event vendor to claim costumes and other loot.

Summer Snapshot โ Free Units for Taking Photos
New photo spots have been set up across the beach. Strike a pose, snap a screenshot, and share it to instantly score 100 Units per share. You can take solo shots or group up with friends โ the game encourages both.
This is the easiest free reward in the entire festival. Walk to a photo spot, press the snapshot button, share, and collect your Units. No skill required.

Pop & Win โ Discounted Costume Lucky Draw
This week's Pop & Win spotlight features two summer costumes at a discounted lucky-draw price:
- Magik โ Soul Surfer (Chroma: Blue Breaker / Sunset Surf, Ultimate Ability VFX, Customizable Parts)
- Scarlet Witch โ Seaside Sorceress (Chroma: Pitch Petal / Purple Petal, Ultimate Ability VFX, Customizable Parts)
The balloon-popping mechanic lets you secure a full costume set for as little as 100 Units, with a ceiling of 2,400 Units. The Cross-Pool Promo from the first wave returns: popping balloons in one prize pool discounts attempts in the other by 50%, meaning lucky players could walk away with both bundles for as little as 150 Units.

Lady Loki Gets Exclusive Animations
NetEase designed a new set of movement and combat animations specifically for the Lady Loki costume, matching her "mischievous elegance" on the battlefield. These animations are applied to all Lady Loki costumes by default โ but if you prefer the classic style, toggle back via the small gear icon next to the "Equip" button in the Costume interface.
Jeff Finally Remembers He's a Shark
After much waddling, Jeff the Land Shark now automatically transitions into a swimming animation when entering the deep waters of Hellfire Bay Beach. It's a small fix, but it makes the social hub feel noticeably more alive โ and Jeff mains will appreciate the touch.

- Iron Fist: Fixed an issue where using Yat Jee Chung Kuen during the Ultimate Ability could cause abnormal displacement

With three events running simultaneously until September 24, here's how to optimize your time at Hellfire Bay Beach:
- Fish daily โ Krakoan Reels catches reset each day, so consistent daily visits yield more costume pieces than marathon sessions
- Snap and share immediately โ Summer Snapshot's 100 Units per share adds up fast, especially if you're saving for Pop & Win attempts
- Pop both pools โ The Cross-Pool Promo means every balloon you pop in one pool cuts the other pool's cost by 50%. Alternate between Magik and Scarlet Witch pools to minimize total spend
- Check Cyclops' juice bar โ While the X-Press Juice daily Units event from the first wave has ended, the Hellfire Bay Beach hub remains active for all Summer Finale activities
Season 9.5 Context
This summer finale runs alongside Season 9.5, which launched August 7 with new Vanguard hero The Hood, the Creed of Akabba event (free Punisher Sandstorm Soldier costume through mission completion), a 30% PC storage reduction from texture optimization, and balance changes to 18 heroes including nerfs to Peni Parker and Venom.
