The PC unlock is a single global rollout at 4:00 AM UTC on September 4 — which is 9:00 PM PT on Thursday, September 3 for West Coast players. Your platform's live storefront countdown is always the authoritative clock. PC players should also note the install footprint: roughly 50 GB, and an SSD is required.
The Early Adopter Bonus: You Have Until September 25
This is the most under-covered fact about the launch. When Capcom moved the date forward on July 2, the digital pre-order bonus was converted into an Early Adopter Bonus — and it stays claimable for roughly three weeks after launch. You do not have to buy before September 4 to get it.
Deadline: September 25, 2026 at 4:59 PM PT. After that, the bonus items are gone (though Capcom notes they "may be made available by other means" later).

Know the distinction: charms are equipable stat items that strengthen Miyamoto Musashi (managed on the Equipment screen), while sword appearances are purely cosmetic (changed via the in-game Spirit Mirror). Neither the Spirit Mirror nor the Equipment screen is available from minute one — both unlock as you progress through the opening chapters.
Keep Your Demo Save: The Kubi Akari Charm
If you played the free demo — the Kiyomizu-dera Temple stage capped by a duel with Musashi's rival Sasaki Ganryu, roughly 30 minutes of content — do not delete that save file. Demo progress does not transfer, but holding demo save data on your system grants the Charm: Kubi Akari in the full game, at zero cost.
The demo is live on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic). A Switch 2 demo has not released, so Switch 2 players simply miss this one charm — it's nice, not essential. If you haven't touched the demo yet, it's also the best combat tutorial you'll get before launch: the full game will not slow down much to re-teach parries.
Because the release date moved, Capcom automatically cancelled all digital pre-orders on Nintendo Switch 2. If you pre-ordered digitally on Switch 2 before July 2, check your eShop — you must place a new order to keep your place and your Early Adopter Bonus. Physical Switch 2 pre-orders were unaffected; the physical version ships as a game-key card.
